I am disappointed that this site does not seem as well used as it should be. After all, we are a nation of make-do-and-menders with some quirky tastes and interests and often not enough money to go around, and we do get passionate about our cars.

I have been fixing cars for a living since the late 1960's, mainly the bread and butter stuff, although I have met a few oddball motors in that time. 5 years on BMC and 9 years on Vauxhall and Bedford (including trucks) and 25 years plus as an independant.

During recent years I have fallen behind in the matter of electronics but in all other matters if anyone wants technical information or advice about anything related to this sort of stuff I will try and help.
