hi jonboy
what about adjusting seriously mal-adjusted valve clearances, replacing timing chains (unless it's belt driven ), noisy belt tensioner pulleys, worn / noisy alternator bearings, poss fan belt / serpentine belt noisy tensioners & so on. i've worked on them as well jon.
what ewan has omitted to give us is adequate info, ie what type of diesel engine he has & whereabouts the noise is around the engine. without this refined info, how can we help, get my drift jonboy, kindest regards dj dave.
