Question ford escort 95

I have a ford escort 95 reg when i brake hard the revs drop down like it wants to stall .when the car slows down the revs pick up has anyone got any ideas many thanks

Hi Check for va***n or air leaks also or sensors Idle air control, Mass air flow, Throttle idle control if fitted also engine management controls and wiring
