hi friend
i'll try & help, not had any exp with audi's though. here goes. first to make sure fuel is getting through, crank engine as if to start, for a few seconds, then remove a spark plug. the electrode should be soaked in petrol. if that,s ok, then fine, if not disconnect a feed pipe to injectors & crank engine ( use a small container to catch fuel from pipe ) ideally you should have a supply of fuel spurt out under pressure. anyway you said you'd checked that. so onwards & up. so next, with a spark plug removed, connect plug lead to plug & with a heavily insulated pair of pliers /grips hold spark plug with the metal body of it against a good earthing point (remember keeping hands & loose clothing away fom the fans & drive bellt areas, safety first ) then get a friend to attempt to start engine in normal way & watch to see sparking at electrode. if ok replace sparkplug & re-connect lead. i assume you have checked & adjusted ( if necessary ) the electrode gaps on the spark plugs. if you have no spark or fuel after carrying out these tips then i'll have to leave you in the hands of some other members who've got exp of elec fuel injection & electronic ignition as unfortunately i gave up the job of mechanics before they were introduced. best of luck mate , hope i have helped, let me know how you get on, regards dj dave |
