Hi everybody. I have a 2 year old Honda Jazz Auto 19000 miles -just had a service and been informed that back/front pads will need renewing soon which is understandable. however they also say that all the disks need replacing and that is applies to all modern cars?. I have never come across this before. Apart from the expense you would expect this to come under the 3 year warranty. cheers brooney

discs scored at two yrs old, smells fishy to me. did the garage invite you to look at the discs yourself. it could be that if your pads have worn out , they may be running on the metal, which would score the discs, but you should have heard a harsh grinding noise every time you applied the brakes. are you sensitive to strange/new noises. my advice is ask the garage you bought the car from to do a independant check on your brakes & ask if you could look when they have the wheels off. a reputable company doesn't usualy refuse. let me know how you get on. best luck, regards dj dave.
