| :I have a 1997 Ford escort 1600 [/b]which in the last two weeks sundenly has a flat baterey every morning, i checked it with my Avo and something is pulling 4 amps out of the batery when the ingnition is off, I have fitted a new batery, new autonator, pulled every fuse and every relay and it still drians away at a rate of 4 amps. Really nead some advice anyone can help: |

| hi friend do you have a alarm system fitted as that may be your prob,but firstly i'd pop out courtessy lamp fuse or remove bulb from boot area. poss if dash clock is dodgy your drain maybe there,pop fuse & try it. hope these suggestions help. let me know how you get on . regards dj dave. |

| Thanks for the tip it was a short at the solenoid the main feed to the autonator fused to the feed to the autonater light, bit of a mess at the solenoid. ok now |
