annoyin noise, ideas?

when accelerating from stationary there is a noise that sounds as if there is water in the exhaust if you know what i mean. Any suggestions as to what it is and how i can solve this?

What Car, What Year, Is any other Problem Ie loss of power, When and how did it start

2003 1 litre corsa, and it was bough second hand so i have no idea how or when it started. There doesnt seem to be any other faults, just when reversing or accelerating from stationary it makes this noise :mad:

Do you get the noise when you raise the engine speed without moving aswell? If you do it may be water/air moving around the heater matrix. do you have any problems with the cooling, ie, water loss or overheating?
