Engine Cutting Out At Low Revs.

Have just bought myself a 1963 Sunbeam Rapier but it came with a few problems.

The most annoying problem is at low revs it cuts out, has anyone any suggestions why this happens?

Check the slow running jet in the carburettor just the tiniest bit of dirt will cause your problem. I am assuming that your tickover speed is not to low, hope this helps.

Your problem is one of 3 areas Firstly fuel or the lack of it on tickover 2nd electrical coil/ condensor breaking down on one occasion I had this and it was a damaged wire to the points and it vibrated on low revs breaking circuit Finaly check engine va***n as this will cause it,
